Cincinatti Public Radio: Attorneys In Charlottesville Lawsuit Say Right Wing Violence On The Rise

Integrity First for America Executive Director Amy Spitalnick joined Cincinatti Public Radio for an interview ahead of an event with the Cincinatti Jewish Community Relations Council.

The violent 2017 right wing rally in Charlottesville, Va., attracted white supremacists and other extremists and left one person dead. It also sparked a lawsuit against organizers of the event by a group called Integrity First for America, which says it wants to hold those responsible for the violence there accountable.

IFA attorneys argue that the rally was part of a larger, ongoing phenomenon that continued with the deadly Jan. 6 attack on the U.S. Capitol by supporters of President Donald Trump and other violent events. That right wing extremism has also played out here in Greater Cincinnati via incidents of anti-Semitism, local leaders say.
